What we are Doing

We are trying to find out what people think wellington will look like in 2020. We have been into Wellington a few times now to collect data from members of the public. You may have been interiewed by us!

Here is a graph of our results:

  Here is our interview chart

 A

After looking at our first set of results we looked at the awnsers which ocoured the most. We then put those awnsers into questions and asked people their views on these questions. Here are graphs of all the questions.

Most people thought that small non-chained shops will close by 2020, and that Wellington will progress into a clone town. A clone town is a replication of a big town or city. People also think that Wellington will merge into Taunton to deal with bigger population. On the other hand more negative people think that Wellington become a ghost town, A ghost town is a town that has a muc much much fewer population than when it was in its prime, People think that Wellingon will become a ghost town because the factories will close and there will be rededundancies at the factories and main shopping centers. People think also that the town could include bigger shops, because bigger shops are usually cheaper than the small shops, so people will want bigger shops to keep up wih the econamy. Alot of people thought that the town should be pedestrianised because of Global Warming. People also thought the center would be pedestrianised to make shopping easier.

In the topic we have learnt alot about what people think of our town. We were amazed to see how many people would take the time to awnser our questions and give us such a mixed range of results. We were also suprised that there were quite a few negative changes people could think of. We hope this page has helped you to learn as much about Wellington as we have.

I think grass areas will be taken over by permission to build houses , like it did near the green

too many areas will be turned into places to build other things, all of the free areas like, the green and Jurstin and cades farm where they are currently lookign for buildign permition will be taken over by plans to build houses and flat blocks.
Wellington will end up like a city cramped with flats , houses and offices, with no free land
